How to install Zoom Video Conferencing on IOS

Zoom is a video conferencing application designed for joining and hosting remote meetings.

The following guide will show you how to sign up, download and start your first remote session, in a simple step by step format for IOS (iPhone iPad).

Step 1

Launch the App Store
Press the search icon and search for ‘zoom’
Press ‘GET’
Press ‘Install’ once installed press ‘Open’ to launch the app

Step 2

Press the Sign Up link
Enter the required details and agree to the terms of service then press the Sign Up link at the top right of the screen
A pop up will inform you a confirmation email has been sent to you.
Launch your email application or web mail and locate your email from Zoom
Press the ‘Activate Account’ button from within the email

Step 3

Press Agree and Proceed to the cookie agreement
Fill in the details as required and press Continue
The ‘Invite colleagues’ screen is an optional step where you can invite people to download zoom, this can be skipped by pressing the ‘Skip this step’ button
On the next screen, close the application by pressing your devices home button.

Step 4

Locate and launch the Zoom app from your device
Press the ‘Sign In’ link and enter your details as required

Step 5

To host a meeting which others can join, from Zoom’s main screen, press ‘New Meeting’ icon
The next screen gives you the option to use your personal meeting ID, (if you choose not to use this option a meeting ID will be automatically generated when you start a meeting) press ‘Start a Meeting’ button
You will be taken to your meeting and your 9 digit Meeting ID (which you need to share with anyone you want to join your meeting) is displayed at the top of the screen.
To end the meeting simply press ‘End’

Step 6

To join a meeting from Zoom’s main screen, press ‘Join’ icon
Now enter the 9 digit Meeting ID of the meeting you wish to join
Enter your display name (the name you wish to use for this meeting)
Press the ‘Join’ button to be taken to the meeting.
